Privacy Policy

Our Approach
Dohlay is built around a simple principle: your data is yours. We don't want it, we don't need it, and we don't collect it. This privacy policy explains exactly what happens when you use Dohlay.
Data Stored on Your Device
All your reminders, settings, attached images, and notification preferences are stored locally on your device. They never leave your phone unless you explicitly choose to share them.
If you uninstall Dohlay, your data is deleted along with the app.
Permissions We Request
Dohlay requests these permissions, only used for the stated purpose:
- Notifications: To deliver your reminders. We never send marketing or promotional notifications.
- Photo library: Only when you tap to add a cover image to a reminder. We don't scan or upload your photo library.
- Files: Only when you import or export an .ics calendar file.
Shareable Invite Links
When you tap "Share Invite Link," the reminder details (title, date, time, notes, links) are uploaded to our servers so the recipient can view them.
- Invites are accessible only to people you send the link to
- Invites automatically expire and delete after 90 days
- We do not store any information identifying the sender
- You can choose not to use this feature — it's entirely optional
What We DON'T Do
- We don't require an account or login
- We don't collect analytics or usage tracking
- We don't use third-party advertising networks
- We don't sell or share your data with anyone
- We don't read your messages, contacts, or other apps
Children
Dohlay is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change how Dohlay handles your data, we'll update this page and reflect the change date above. Material changes will also be announced inside the app.
